Researchers Use 3D printers to create a Teleportation machine

While you probably don’t want this latest project from the Hasso Plattner Institute to “beam you up” just yet, researchers have created a teleportation machine in that the object you are “sending” is destroyed and then reassembled on a 3D printer.

Teleportation, as it’s commonly understood, suggests the movement of one object to another place, perhaps through the disassembly and reassembly of atoms or other similarly impossible means. This project teleports items by scanning them layer by layer and then grinding them away. The scan is then sent securely to another 3D printer which recreates the object in plastic. Uber Returns to New Delhi After it’s ban

Uber has announced that it is resuming its cab service in the Indian capital of New Delhi, where it was banned last month when an Uber driver allegedly raped a passenger.

The company said in a blog post that it has applied for a license under the Radio Taxi Scheme in India so as to comply with local authorities’ regulations for such services.

In addition, Uber says it is continuing its work with government transport agencies to introduce new rules for on-demand transporation technology aggregators like itself.

As it resumes operation in New Delhi, Uber says that it is only allowing drivers whose police clearances have been re-verified in the last six weeks back [...]

Microsoft Launches Windows 10, It’s Free For Windows 7, 8, 8.1 Users

Over the last few years, Microsoft seems to have been flailing. Windows 8, while a step in the right direction for the company, was an utter mess and saw slow adoption along with poor developer uptake.
